About Us

Boy Scout Troop 1919 is a non-denominational, community-based Troop in the Occoquan District, National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Our troop is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1503, located in Dale City, Virginia.  Since its inception on June 1, 1983, Troop 1919 has maintained the high-goal of developing young men to their fullest ability under the precepts and ideals of the Boy Scouts of America. Use our Contact Us page for additional information.

Youth Leadership – Roles and Responsibilities

Troop 1919 is a Scout run troop. When a Scout has a problem or question, unless it is a safety issue, he should first go through the Scout chain of command: Patrol Leader (PL), Senior Patrol Leader (SPL), Assistant Scout Master (ASM), and Scout Master (SM).

Troop Meetings
Meeting Location: VFW Post 1503, 14631 Minnieville Road, Dale City, Virginia 22193.  Troop Meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays from 7:30 – 9:00 PM.  Troop Committee Meetings are held monthly at the VFW.
